A used BMW engine is precious cargo — it is heavy, valuable, and full of delicate bits you cannot see until something goes wrong. We treat shipping as part of the product, not an afterthought, because we want your engine to arrive looking as good as it left our workshop.
Below is how we handle European and international freight from Hamburg, written the way we would explain it if you called us this afternoon.
Engine preparation before dispatch
Before collection, we secure fluids as needed, protect vulnerable areas (turbo, sump, injectors), and mount the unit properly on a pallet or frame. It is unglamorous work, but it is what stops small bumps from becoming big stories.
Typical delivery times
- Germany and nearby EU: often around 3–5 business days once collected
- UK, France, Scandinavia: commonly 4–7 business days depending on route
- Further worldwide: often 7–21 days with customs in the middle
We ship from Hamburg with tracking, and we are always happy to give you a realistic window when you contact us — no vague “soon” if we can avoid it.
Receiving your engine
When delivery day arrives, take a breath and inspect the crate before you sign. If you see damage, note it kindly but clearly on the delivery paperwork, and take photos — it helps everyone solve things faster.

Do you ship engines without oil?
Yes — most engines travel dry or with minimal lubrication for transport rules. Your workshop will fill fresh oil and coolant after fitment, which is normal and healthy for a clean start.
